Bayview Lending Group LLC is a Delaware limited liability company based at Ponce de Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables, Florida, that buys small balance commercial, multifamily and mixed use mortgage loans and packages them into securities. Organised in September 2006, it began trading as a principal in February 2007, sourcing loans from lending subsidiaries including InterBay Funding, Silver Hill Financial and Bayview Financial Small Business Funding as well as from third party originators, then selling pools into securitisation trusts through its depositor BLG Securities Company and retaining or placing the related servicing rights. By the end of 2007 it had acquired about 2.628 billion dollars of mortgage loans by principal balance. It sits within the Bayview group of Coral Gables, whose parent Bayview Financial Holdings is a privately held specialty mortgage finance company.
Source
Bayview Lending Group (BLG) files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from BLG Securities Company, LLC Form S-3 shelf registration (SEC EDGAR), In Brief: Buffalo's M&T Buys Stake in Bayview Unit (American Banker) and BLG Securities Company, LLC filer record (SEC EDGAR submissions API). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- M&T Bank Corporation (MTB), as of 30 Jun 2026. M&T holds a 20% minority interest in BLG, a privately-held commercial mortgage company, per Q2 2026 10-Q Note 16 ('Relationship with BLG and Bayview Financial'). The interest is not share-denominated (an LLC-type membership/ownership interest), so shares is null and the 20% is recorded directly in pct_of_target. The carrying value is genuinely $0 at 30 Jun 2026 (and was also $0 at 31 Dec 2025 per the FY2025 10-K note 23), a filed fact rather than an unsized gap: cumulative losses recognized and cash distributions received in prior years reduced the carrying value to zero. Cash distributions M&T now receives from BLG are booked as income (Other revenues from operations), not as a change in the investment's carrying value: $47 million (Q2 2026) and $80 million (H1 2026), versus $0 in the comparable 2025 periods. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Bayview Lending Group (BLG) where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
