Associated Clinical Laboratories, a Pennsylvania limited partnership trading as ACL, is a regional reference laboratory formed in 1986 and based at 1526 Peach Street in Erie. It provides diagnostic testing and reporting to physicians, hospitals and patients across northwestern Pennsylvania, Chautauqua County in New York and Ashtabula County in Ohio, running a central testing facility in Erie together with a network of patient service centres in Erie County and neighbouring towns including Edinboro, Girard, North East, Union City and Waterford. About 95 percent of testing is performed locally in Erie, with specialised work referred to Quest Diagnostics laboratories in Pittsburgh and to esoteric testing centres in Chantilly, Virginia and San Juan Capistrano, California. Medical direction comes from Pathology Associates of Erie, whose pathologists also serve as medical directors of the local hospital laboratories, and the partnership combines that local medical community with Quest Diagnostics as its commercial partner.
Source
Associated Clinical Laboratories, L.P. files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from About ACL, ACL locations and Quest Diagnostics Exhibit 21.1, subsidiaries and joint ventures (10-K for 2025). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. Exhibit 21.1 lists 'Associated Clinical Laboratories, L.P. (PA)' at 52.97% directly, written here as 52.97, not 0.5297. A further 1% of this same LP is held indirectly through Associated Clinical Laboratories of Pennsylvania, L.L.C. (itself 53.5% Quest-owned), adding roughly 0.535 percentage points of fully indirect interest; the figure used here is the directly-filed 52.97% rather than a blended total, to avoid presenting an unstated combined number as filed. No individual carrying value disclosed. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Associated Clinical Laboratories, L.P. where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
