Appalachia Midstream Investments is the name Williams gives to a set of jointly held natural gas gathering companies in the Marcellus Shale, comprising two systems. The Bradford Supply Hub runs about 753 miles of gathering pipeline with inlet capacity near 4.4 billion cubic feet a day, centred on Bradford County in northeastern Pennsylvania and reaching into neighbouring Sullivan, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties, while Marcellus South adds roughly 296 miles and 1.3 billion cubic feet a day across southwestern Pennsylvania and the northwestern panhandle of West Virginia. The systems take raw gas from producer wellpads and move it to processing plants and interstate pipelines, working almost entirely under long term, fixed fee gathering agreements with large acreage dedications and, on some Marcellus South contracts, minimum volume commitments. Williams operates all of the assets, and the interests trace back to its 2014 takeover of Access Midstream, the gathering business Chesapeake Energy originally built out.
Source
Appalachia Midstream Investments (Bradford Supply Hub and Marcellus South gathering systems) files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Williams Companies Form 10-K for 2023, Williams Partners Ups Its Stakes in Marcellus Gathering Systems (Pipeline & Gas Journal) and Williams Closes Deal to Increase Ownership in NEPA Pipeline System (Marcellus Drilling News). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- The Williams Companies, Inc., as of 31 Dec 2025. Equity-method LLC/partnership interests, not denominated in shares, so shares is null. FY2025 10-K Note 8 equity-method investments table reports this as ONE combined line: 'Appalachia Midstream Investments $2,737 $2,810' (2025 and 2024), footnoted 'Includes equity-method investments in multiple gathering systems in the Marcellus Shale region with an approximate average 66 percent interest.' The $2,737 million is the filing's own combined figure for this named group (it does not further split Bradford Supply Hub from Marcellus South), so it is used as-is rather than apportioned; Laurel Mountain, though also an Appalachian Marcellus-area gathering asset, has its own separate line in the same table and is reported as its own holding above. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Appalachia Midstream Investments (Bradford Supply Hub and Marcellus South gathering systems) where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
