Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Wave Life Sciences, Inc.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The website comes from Wikidata. The headcount is the figure the sources below state for 2025. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Wave Life Sciences Ltd. Form 10-K for fiscal year 2025, Wave Life Sciences Ltd. Form 8-K dated 30 July 2026, Exhibit 99.1 (second quarter 2026 results) and Wave Life Sciences, Inc. Description
Wave Life Sciences, Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company in Cambridge, Massachusetts that develops RNA medicines (oligonucleotides) on its PRISM platform, which controls backbone stereochemistry to make stereopure oligonucleotides across RNA interference (SpiNA) and A-to-I RNA editing (AIMer) modalities, mostly GalNAc conjugated. On 7 August 2026 a Delaware corporation replaced the Singapore parent, Wave Life Sciences Ltd. Lead candidate WVE-007, an INHBE-silencing siRNA for obesity, was dosing in the Phase 2a portion of the INLIGHT trial (BMI 35 to 50) as of July 2026, with combination and post-incretin maintenance Phase 2 trials planned for late 2026. WVE-006, an RNA editing candidate for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, completed dosing in three RestorAATion-2 Phase 1b/2a cohorts, with an FDA meeting on accelerated approval set for late summer 2026. WVE-008 for PNPLA3 I148M liver disease was due a trial application in late 2026, while WVE-003 (Huntington's) and WVE-N531 (Duchenne) are in partnering talks. A January 2023 GSK collaboration paid $170.0 million upfront against up to $2.8 billion of milestones, and Wave regained full WVE-006 rights in February 2026. Net loss was $204.4 million in 2025 and $95.4 million in the first half of 2026, with $490.6 million of cash and marketable securities at 30 June 2026 funding operations into the third quarter of 2028.
Who owns Wave Life Sciences, Inc..
Nothing recorded on this side. That is a sourced finding rather than a gap where the research notes say so: see the notes below.
Select a row or a slice for its provenance: the filing it came from, when it was measured, and the arithmetic behind it if it was modelled.
The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 225 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
225 managers reported a position, together holding 172.6m shares, or 89.7% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 192.4m shares outstanding at 7 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Added 27 Aug 2026 by scripts/promote_discovered.py. This company reached the site because a covered investor holds it, not because an index listed it: it was a position in a portfolio here with no page of its own. The match was proved by requiring the register built for this CIK to contain the same CUSIP the portfolio held.
- Discovered at CUSIP Y95308105, held by allstate, bank-of-america, blackrock, bny-mellon, citigroup, fidelity-fmr, geode, goldman-sachs, invesco, jpmorgan, metlife, morgan-stanley, northern-trust, pfizer, pnc, prudential-financial, raymond-james, state-street, us-bancorp, vanguard, wells-fargo.
- Holdings are NOT researched. The empty holdings list means nobody has looked at what this company owns, not that it owns nothing, and the page says so.
- Shares outstanding and market cap are null rather than guessed. Neither was captured on the dated sweep that carries every other company here.
