Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Symbotic Inc.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The headcount is the figure the sources below state for 2025. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Symbotic Inc. Form 10-K for fiscal year ended 27 September 2025, Symbotic Inc. Form 10-Q for the quarterly period ended 27 June 2026 and Symbotic Inc. Description
Symbotic Inc. designs, builds and installs A.I.-powered robotic automation systems that move, store and sort pallets, cases and items (eaches) inside distribution centers and micro-fulfillment centers. A system combines de-palletizing and palletizing robotic cells, lifts, a dense storage structure and fleets of autonomous mobile robots (SymBot and MiniBot) run by proprietary software. Run as a single operating segment from Wilmington, Massachusetts, it sells in three parts: the system, software maintenance and support that usually runs 15 years, and operation services. Systems were 94% of fiscal 2025 revenue. Walmart is both the largest customer, about 85% of fiscal 2025 revenue and 87.0% for the nine months ended 27 June 2026, and a large holder, with beneficial ownership of roughly 13% of common stock at 27 September 2025. Other customers include Albertsons, Target, UNFI and affiliate C&S Wholesale Grocers. Symbotic owns 35% of GreenBox Systems LLC, now doing business as Exol, a warehouse-as-a-service joint venture with SoftBank-related entities committed to spend at least $7.5 billion on its systems. It bought Walmart's Advanced Systems and Robotics business in January 2025. Backlog was about $22.5 billion at 27 June 2026. Fiscal 2025 revenue was $2.25 billion on a $91.0 million net loss; third quarter fiscal 2026 revenue was $720.8 million with $55.0 million of net income.
Who owns Symbotic Inc..
Nothing recorded on this side. That is a sourced finding rather than a gap where the research notes say so: see the notes below.
Select a row or a slice for its provenance: the filing it came from, when it was measured, and the arithmetic behind it if it was modelled.
The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 403 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
403 managers reported a position, together holding 113.2m shares. The 40 largest are listed.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Added 27 Aug 2026 by scripts/promote_discovered.py. This company reached the site because a covered investor holds it, not because an index listed it: it was a position in a portfolio here with no page of its own. The match was proved by requiring the register built for this CIK to contain the same CUSIP the portfolio held.
- Discovered at CUSIP 87151X101, held by ameriprise, bank-of-america, blackrock, bny-mellon, citigroup, fidelity-fmr, fifth-third, franklin-resources, geode, goldman-sachs, huntington-bancshares, invesco, jefferies-financial-group, jpmorgan, morgan-stanley, mt-bank, northern-trust, pnc, raymond-james, state-street, us-bancorp, vanguard, walmart, wells-fargo.
- Holdings are NOT researched. The empty holdings list means nobody has looked at what this company owns, not that it owns nothing, and the page says so.
- Shares outstanding and market cap are null rather than guessed. Neither was captured on the dated sweep that carries every other company here.
