Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Personalis, Inc.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The website comes from Wikidata. The headcount is the figure the sources below state for 2026. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Personalis, Inc. Form 10-K for fiscal year 2025 and Personalis, Inc. Form 10-Q for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, not taken from any single article.

Description
Personalis, Inc. develops, markets and sells advanced cancer genomic testing services from a CLIA-certified laboratory at its headquarters in Fremont, California. Its lead clinical product is NeXT Personal Dx, a tumor-informed liquid biopsy test introduced in the fourth quarter of 2023 for detection of minimal residual disease and recurrence monitoring. It also sells NeXT Dx, a tumor profiling test, ImmunoID NeXT, a whole exome and transcriptome assay, and sequencing services. It won Medicare coverage for NeXT Personal Dx in Stage II and III breast cancer (November 2025), Stage I to III non-small cell lung cancer (February 2026) and immunotherapy and neoadjuvant breast monitoring (May 2026). Tempus AI markets the test in the United States under a November 2023 agreement extended in July 2025 to November 2029, and Moderna, the Department of Veterans Affairs Million Veteran Program and Merck are the largest customers. Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC bought 14,044,943 shares at $3.56 for $50.0 million in December 2024 and held about 13% of voting power at 20 July 2026. Revenue was $69.6 million in 2025 against a net loss of $81.3 million, and $37.8 million in the first half of 2026 against a $61.7 million loss, with $212.7 million of cash and short-term investments at 30 June 2026. On 20 July 2026 Personalis agreed to be acquired by Tempus. It had 260 employees at 31 January 2026.
Who owns Personalis, Inc..
Nothing recorded on this side. That is a sourced finding rather than a gap where the research notes say so: see the notes below.
Select a row or a slice for its provenance: the filing it came from, when it was measured, and the arithmetic behind it if it was modelled.
The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 136 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
136 managers reported a position, together holding 84.6m shares, or 80.8% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 104.7m shares outstanding at 29 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Added 27 Aug 2026 by scripts/promote_discovered.py. This company reached the site because a covered investor holds it, not because an index listed it: it was a position in a portfolio here with no page of its own. The match was proved by requiring the register built for this CIK to contain the same CUSIP the portfolio held.
- Discovered at CUSIP 71535D106, held by ameriprise, bank-of-america, blackrock, bny-mellon, citigroup, fidelity-fmr, geode, goldman-sachs, huntington-bancshares, invesco, jpmorgan, merck, metlife, morgan-stanley, northern-trust, pnc, prudential-financial, raymond-james, state-street, us-bancorp, vanguard, wells-fargo.
- Holdings are NOT researched. The empty holdings list means nobody has looked at what this company owns, not that it owns nothing, and the page says so.
- Shares outstanding and market cap are null rather than guessed. Neither was captured on the dated sweep that carries every other company here.
