Description

Opendoor Technologies Inc., headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, operates an online platform for residential real estate transactions and describes itself as the largest U.S. iBuyer. It acts as principal rather than as a broker: a homeowner requests an algorithmically generated cash offer through Opendoor's website or app, Opendoor buys the home directly, completes repairs through a network of trade partners, and resells it. Revenue comes mainly from those home sales, plus a service fee and title and escrow services provided by its own subsidiaries. Founded in 2014 and first launched in Phoenix, Opendoor operated in 50 markets entering 2025 before expanding its buybox in late 2025 to effectively nationwide coverage of the contiguous United States, and it began mortgage lending through Opendoor Home Loans LLC in the first quarter of 2026. More than 294,000 homes have been bought and sold on the platform. Revenue was $4,371 million in 2025 against a net loss of $1,300 million, on 11,791 homes sold and 8,241 purchased, closing the year with 2,867 homes and $925 million of real estate inventory. First-half 2026 revenue was $1,603 million and the net loss $335 million, on 4,260 homes sold and 6,852 purchased; at 30 June 2026 inventory was 5,459 homes carried at $1,845 million. Opendoor employed 1,042 people at 31 December 2025.

Nothing recorded on this side. That is a sourced finding rather than a gap where the research notes say so: see the notes below.

The full register, from 13F filings

The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 352 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.

352 managers reported a position, together holding 470.3m shares, or 48.8% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 964.7m shares outstanding at 30 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.

Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
