Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Nordson Corporation's own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The website comes from Wikidata. The headcount is the figure the Wikipedia article states for 2025, not a figure this site has verified against a filing. The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 699 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
699 managers reported a position, together holding 41.2m shares, or 74.0% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 55.7m shares outstanding at 19 May 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Shares outstanding (55,717,948) is taken from the cover page of the 10-Q for the quarter ended 30 Apr 2026 (filed 21 May 2026, 'as of May 19, 2026'). This is the newest cover-page count available: Nordson's fiscal year ends in late October, so its FY2026 10-K will not be filed until around December 2026, and no Q3 FY2026 10-Q (period ending 31 Jul 2026) had been filed as of 19 Aug 2026, only an 8-K/press release (filed 19 Aug 2026) reporting weighted-average share counts for EPS, which is a different figure from shares outstanding and was not used here.
- Holdings side: searched Nordson's FY2025 10-K (filed 17 Dec 2025, period ended 31 Oct 2025), its Q1 FY2026 10-Q (period 31 Jan 2026) and Q2 FY2026 10-Q (period 30 Apr 2026) for 'equity method', 'equity investment', 'investment in', 'non-marketable', 'joint venture', 'unconsolidated', 'minority interest', and 'affiliate'. Nordson discloses only generic accounting policy language for equity-method affiliates/joint ventures (no dollar figures, no names) and a combined 'minority interests in certain companies that do not have readily determinable fair values' balance under the ASC 321 measurement alternative: $13,996 thousand at 31 Oct 2025 and $5,040 thousand at 30 Apr 2026 (the drop reflects one investment moving out of this bucket into fair-value accounting, see the holdings entry above). This remaining $5.04m combined balance still covers multiple unnamed companies with no disclosed split, so per the brief it is not assigned to any named holding; it is recorded here and in unknowns instead.
- Exhibit 21 to the FY2025 10-K (List of Subsidiaries) was checked for an ownership-percentage column, per the Pentair technique. It carries none: it is a plain two-column table of subsidiary name and jurisdiction of incorporation, and its own header states every listed entity 'is included in the Registrant's consolidated financial statements' (i.e. 100%-owned and controlled). No joint ventures, no percentage-owned footnotes, no equity-method affiliates appear in it. This is treated as a genuine negative (the Labcorp/Darden pattern), not evidence of looking in the wrong place.
- Nord family / founder ownership: Jennifer A. Savage (Nord family descendant, trustee of several Nord family trusts including Eric T. Nord Trusts) holds 2,945,523 shares (5.29% of current shares outstanding) per her Schedule 13G filed 2 Jan 2025. She is not a director, nominee, or executive officer of Nordson and does not appear in the 2026 proxy's director or NEO tables, so her position sits outside 'Directors and Executive Officers as a Group' and is not rolled up into or double counted with that row.
- The 2026 proxy's Five Percent Beneficial Owners table DID include Vanguard (10.9%, from a stale Feb 2024 13G/A), unlike the Allegion/Emcor gap described in the chunk prompt; all three institutional 13G citations in the proxy (Vanguard, BlackRock, State Street) were refreshed here against each filer's own Q2 2026 13F-HR, which is more current.
- Capital Group: the project's own registers/NDSN.json snapshot (31 Mar 2026, entity list only) contains no Capital Group entity at all, down to its smallest listed holder (189,616 shares, 0.34%). Checked directly against each of the three commonly-cited Capital Group registrants' own Q2 2026 13F-HR information tables (Capital World Investors CIK 0001422849, Capital International Investors CIK 0001562230, Capital Research Global Investors CIK 0001422848, and by CUSIP 655663102 directly): none holds Nordson as of 30 Jun 2026. Recorded as a checked-and-found-nothing negative, not a row, per the Snap-on precedent.
- T. Rowe Price: T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. (CIK 0000080255) holds 77,478 shares ($23,375 thousand, i.e. $23,375,000; T. Rowe reports values in thousands) as of 30 Jun 2026, implied price ~$301.68/share, i.e. 0.14% of the company. T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc. (CIK 0001897612) holds none. Given the position is small relative to the top 8-12 threshold used for this register (below FMR/Fidelity's 840,395 shares), it was checked but not added as a row.
- Implied-price check: every institutional row above (Vanguard family, BlackRock, State Street, Geode, Kayne Anderson Rudnick, Morgan Stanley, Invesco, FMR, and the checked-but-excluded T. Rowe Price Associates row) implies a per-share price between $300.79 and $302.47 as of 30 Jun 2026, i.e. internally consistent with no values-in-thousands mismatches on any included row.
- Self-gate (computed from this final file on disk, chart arithmetic: every row counts at full value because the one is_aggregate row, Directors and Executive Officers as a Group, has no separate member rows rolled into it): 10 register rows, 24,017,511 total shares, 55,717,948 shares outstanding, 43.11% of the company.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- The identity of the minority interest investment that was publicly listed on a foreign stock exchange in December 2025 (fair value $21,722 thousand at 30 Apr 2026, Level 1). Searched the FY2025 10-K, Q1 and Q2 FY2026 10-Qs, Exhibit 21 to the FY2025 10-K, and the open web (Nordson press releases and financial news) for a name; none is disclosed anywhere as of 19 Aug 2026.
- The identity and split of the roughly $5.04 million combined balance of remaining 'minority interests in certain companies that do not have readily determinable fair values' (ASC 321 measurement alternative) as of 30 Apr 2026. The 10-K/10-Q disclose only the combined total, never individual investee names or amounts.
- Whether any equity-method joint venture exists at all: the accounting-policy paragraph describes the treatment in the abstract ('Investments in affiliates and joint ventures in which our ownership is 50% or less...are accounted for under the equity method') but no specific joint venture or equity-method investee is named or sized anywhere in the FY2025 10-K, the Q1 or Q2 FY2026 10-Qs, or Exhibit 21.
- Precise current holdings of JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs (both were in the project's 31 Mar 2026 register snapshot at roughly 636,000-640,000 shares each, below the smallest institutional row included here) were not individually refreshed against their own Q2 2026 13F-HR filings, since including them would not change the top 8-12 institutional set already assembled.
