Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Lululemon Athletica Inc.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The website was checked for this site against the company's own pages. The headcount is the figure the sources below state for 2026. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from lululemon athletica inc. Description
Lululemon Athletica designs and sells technical athletic apparel, footwear and accessories under the lululemon brand, and sells most of it directly rather than through wholesalers. Net revenue for the fiscal year ended 1 February 2026 was $11.10 billion, of which company operated stores produced $5.05 billion, e-commerce $4.92 billion and other channels including wholesale, licensed locations and outlets $1.13 billion. Women's apparel accounted for 63 percent of net revenue, men's apparel 24 percent and accessories and other categories 13 percent, while by region the Americas contributed 70.7 percent, China Mainland 15.8 percent and the rest of the world 13.5 percent. The company opened its first store in Vancouver in 1998, is still headquartered there, listed on Nasdaq in 2007, and ended the year with 811 company operated stores and about 39,000 employees.

The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 934 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
934 managers reported a position, together holding 84.4m shares, or 77.8% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 108.4m shares outstanding at 29 May 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Capital structure: Lululemon has a single class of common stock, par value $0.005 per share (NASDAQ: LULU), confirmed on the cover pages of the Q1 FY2026 10-Q (filed 4 Jun 2026, period 3 May 2026) and the FY2025 10-K (filed 17 Mar 2026, period 1 Feb 2026); neither filing contains any 'Class A' or 'Class B' common stock, and no 'dual class' or 'dual-class' language appears in either. There is a separate mechanism, not a second economic class: Lulu Canadian Holding, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary, has outstanding exchangeable shares (5,115,961 as of 29 May 2026) that are exchangeable 1:1 for lululemon athletica inc. common stock, and the registrant has issued a corresponding number of non-economic 'special voting shares' that vote alongside common stock on a one-vote-per-share basis so exchangeable-share holders can vote without triggering an early taxable exchange (a standard Canadian cross-border listing mechanism, not a Class A/B voting structure). The DEFC14A's beneficial-ownership percentages (e.g. Dennis J. Wilson 8.7% as of 30 Apr 2026, later 8.4% per the 31 Jul 2026 13D/A) appear to use total voting shares (common stock plus special voting shares, roughly 113.6-114.4 million across various 2026 dates) as the denominator, which is larger than company.shares_outstanding as recorded here (108,437,957 common shares only, from the 10-Q cover page). This is flagged per-row in method_note rather than silently reconciled.
- Chip Wilson: he still holds a large, filed, current position. Dennis J. 'Chip' Wilson, the founder (CEO 1998-2005, chair until Dec 2013), reported 9,576,564 shares (8.4%) on Schedule 13D/A Amendment No. 24, event date 31 Jul 2026, filed 3 Aug 2026, via his personal holding plus shares held through Anamered Investments Inc., LIPO Investments (USA), Inc., Wilson 5 Foundation, Five Boys Investments ULC and Low Tide Properties Ltd. (House of Wilson Ltd. currently holds 0 shares and is not sized as a row here for that reason). He is included as a register row, not a note, and it is a real filed position, not an exit.
- Chip Wilson sits OUTSIDE the directors-and-executive-officers group. He has not been an officer since 2005 or a director since his December 2013 resignation as chair, the same Ballmer/Gates precedent cited in the research brief: a founder who has left the board is not part of the D&O aggregate. In 2026 he ran an active proxy contest against the board (he personally filed two DEFC14A definitive dissident proxy statements, 10 Apr and 18 May 2026, plus numerous DFAN14A soliciting materials from Jan through Jun 2026, under his own CIK 0001407029), which the company settled via a Cooperation Agreement dated 26 May 2026 (disclosed in the 8-K filed 26 Jun 2026): two of his allied nominees, Laura Gentile and Marc Maurer, were appointed to the board effective 24 Jun 2026. Wilson himself was not appointed and remains outside the board and outside the D&O group as of the most recent filings reviewed.
- Shannon Wilson (1,098,309 shares, 1.0%, same 13D/A Amendment No. 24) is a family member who files jointly with Dennis J. Wilson's group but is reported as a distinct beneficial owner. This research could not confirm from the structured 13D/A XML (which carries no narrative Item 5 text in this newer SEC schema) whether any portion of her position overlaps with the roughly 268,984-share gap between Dennis Wilson's own reported aggregate (9,576,564) and the sum of the controlled entities listed under his name (9,303,728). Recorded as a separate, non-overlapping row; see unknowns.
- Holdings side is empty, and this is a sourced finding, not a gap left to speak for itself. Searched the FY2025 10-K (filed 17 Mar 2026, period 1 Feb 2026) and the Q1 FY2026 10-Q (filed 4 Jun 2026, period 3 May 2026) for: 'equity method', 'joint venture', 'unconsolidated', 'non-marketable', 'minority interest', 'equity securities', 'strategic investment', 'investments in', 'non-controlling'/'noncontrolling'. None of the terms 'equity method', 'joint venture', 'unconsolidated', 'non-marketable', or 'minority interest' appear anywhere in either filing. 'Equity securities' and 'strategic investment' appear only in boilerplate (share buybacks, a generic risk-factor sentence about possibly pursuing strategic investments or acquisitions in the future) with no named investee. Also checked Exhibit 21.1 ('Significant subsidiaries of lululemon athletica inc.', filed with the FY2025 10-K): it is a bare jurisdiction-and-name list with no ownership-percentage column, and every entity on it, including Curiouser Products Inc. (dba MIRROR), is presented as a subsidiary with no minority partner named. This is a genuine negative rather than evidence of looking in the wrong place.
- MIRROR / lululemon Studio was a wholly-owned acquisition (2020, home-fitness mirror hardware maker Curiouser Products Inc.), not a holding: it is a 100%-owned subsidiary throughout, appears in Exhibit 21.1 with no minority stake, and the FY2025 10-K describes ceasing to sell its hardware and its digital-only subscription in 2023 along with related impairment and inventory-obsolescence charges. Excluded from holdings per the brief's rule that a wholly owned, later-impaired acquisition is not a holding.
- Peloton Interactive, Inc. is mentioned once in the FY2025 10-K only as the exclusive third-party digital fitness content provider to lululemon Studio subscribers after MIRROR hardware sales ceased; no equity stake, warrant, or investment in Peloton is disclosed in either filing searched.
- Self-gate, computed on this final file exactly as the chart computes it (containers reduced only where a member's rolls_up_into names them; the one is_aggregate row here, the D&O group, has no member rows pointing at it in this register, so it counts at full value): 11 register rows, summing to 44,395,171 shares against shares_outstanding of 108,437,957, giving 40.94%. This is above the 'roughly 25-45%' guideline range but inside the hard 15-55% bound; the main contributors above the typical range are the unusually large, filed 8.4%+1.0% founder-and-family block and a stale but company-disclosed 5.7% broker-dealer market-making position (G1 Execution Services / Susquehanna), which is not present at that scale on most companies in this database. REVISED 19 Aug 2026 by the coordinator. The original self-gate read 50,111,186 shares and 46.21%, which included the G1 Execution Services / Susquehanna row at its Schedule 13G figure of 6,487,961 shares. That figure is beneficial ownership including derivatives, not common stock, and the row has been restated to the 771,946 common shares reported in Susquehanna International Group, LLP's own Q2 2026 13F-HR: see that row's method_note for the five-line breakdown and the 8,638,200 shares of excluded derivative lines. The corrected total is 44,395,171 shares, 40.94% of 108,437,957, which is inside the brief's usual 25 to 45 per cent range rather than above it. The founder block remains the reason this sits at the upper end: Chip Wilson at 9,576,564 shares and Shannon Wilson at 1,098,309, both outside the directors and officers container.
- T. Rowe Price entities file 13F values in thousands (confirmed here by implied price cross-check); adjusted accordingly. Cohen & Steers is not a holder of LULU in the data checked.
- Capital Group checked and confirmed to hold NOTHING as of the current period, not left null. Directly fetched the Q2 2026 (period 30 Jun 2026) Form 13F-HR information tables for all three of Capital Group's primary registrants, Capital World Investors (CIK 0001422849), Capital Research Global Investors (CIK 0001422848) and Capital International Investors (CIK 0001562230), and none contains a row for CUSIP 550021109 (LULULEMON ATHLETICA INC).
- Vanguard family swept via this project's own register snapshot for the entity NAME list only (data/registers/LULU.json, a Q1 2026 aggregate that reports one blended 'Vanguard' line, not individual filer entities), then confirmed and sized independently via EDGAR full-text search for the LULU CUSIP restricted to Vanguard-named 13F-HR filers for period 30 Jun 2026, which returned exactly 7 registrants (Portfolio Management, Capital Management, Fiduciary Trust, Global Advisers, Asset Management Ltd, Investments Australia, Personalized Indexing Management). The parent CIK, The Vanguard Group, Inc. (0000102909), filed Form 13F-NT (no holdings) for this period, so summing the 7 successors is the correct family total, not an over-count.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Whether any of Shannon Wilson's 1,098,309 shares overlap with the roughly 268,984-share difference between Dennis J. Wilson's reported personal aggregate and the sum of his named controlled entities on Schedule 13D/A Amendment No. 24. The current SEC XML schema for this filing carries no narrative Item 2/5 text to resolve it, and no earlier full-text amendment covering the current holding level was fetched in this task.
- value_usd for Dennis J. Wilson's and Shannon Wilson's positions. Schedule 13D does not report a dollar value, and no page fetched in this task priced LULU as of the 31 Jul 2026 event date specifically (a Q2 2026 13F-implied price of $114.18 as of 30 Jun 2026 exists but is a different date than the 13D/A's event date, so it was not applied).
- The precise date basis mismatch between the ~114 million total-voting-share denominator implied by the DEFC14A's and the 13D/A's percentOfClass figures and the 108,437,957 common-share count used here as shares_outstanding. Both figures are filed; the reconciling detail (exact special-voting-share count on 31 Jul 2026 versus 29 May 2026) was not separately confirmed.
- Any Vanguard-family or Capital-Group-family entity holding LULU under a name that does not contain 'vanguard' or one of the three checked Capital Group registrant names. The EDGAR full-text search sweep is keyed on entity name and could miss a differently branded affiliate.
- Whether BlackRock's former primary 13F CIK (distinct from the current CIK 0002012383 used here) still exists and could carry a residual, unswept position; only the current consolidated filer was checked, and it was the only BlackRock-named result the CUSIP search returned for this period.
