Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Las Vegas Sands Corp.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The website comes from Wikidata. The headcount is the figure the Wikipedia article states for 2024, not a figure this site has verified against a filing. Description
Las Vegas Sands Corp. is an American casino and resort company with corporate headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was founded by Sheldon G. Adelson and his partners out of the Sands Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The Sands was demolished and redeveloped as The Venetian, opening in 1999. An adjacent resort, The Palazzo, opened in 2007. Both resorts were sold in 2022.
Equity stakes Las Vegas Sands Corp. holds in other companies.

Select a row or a slice for its provenance: the filing it came from, when it was measured, and the arithmetic behind it if it was modelled.
The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 752 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
752 managers reported a position, together holding 267.4m shares, or 40.4% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 662.6m shares outstanding at 22 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Sands China Ltd (holdings side): LVS's 10-Q (period 30 Jun 2026) and 10-K (FY2025) both searched for 'equity method', 'joint venture', 'unconsolidated', 'non-marketable' and 'investment in': no hits for any equity-method or unconsolidated joint-venture investment. Marina Bay Sands (Singapore) is explicitly a WHOLLY OWNED subsidiary ('the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd.', 10-Q) and is therefore excluded from holdings per the brief. Exhibit 21.1 of the FY2025 10-K is a bare subsidiary name list with no ownership-percentage column (same pattern as Labcorp/Darden noted in the chunk prompt): it lists Sands China Ltd. and MBS entities alongside wholly owned Venetian/Sands entities with no distinguishing percentage field. Sands China Ltd. is the ONLY partly owned, separately listed investee found; holdings has exactly one row.
- Register self-gate, computed from this final file using the chart's own arithmetic (no row here has rolls_up_into another row, so every row counts at full value; there is no aggregate-with-members reduction to apply): 12 register rows, total 386,728,789 + 41,407,923 + 24,844,440 + 15,159,570 + 11,184,424 + 9,052,131 + 8,851,302 + 8,204,874 + 7,384,543 + 6,613,940 + 5,804,100 + 3,655,796 = 528,891,832 shares. Divided by shares_outstanding 647,701,184 = 81.66% of the company.
- 81.66% is far above the brief's normal 25-45% band and above even the 55% flag threshold, and was checked for the three usual causes before shipping. (1) Mixed instrument: every institutional row is the same CUSIP 517834107 common stock read directly from each holder's own Q2 2026 13F-HR, cross-validated by a tight implied-price band of $46.02-46.19/share across all 10 institutional filers (T. Rowe Price's thousands-corrected row included), consistent with LVS trading around $45.75-46.48 on 19 Aug 2026. (2) Mixed basis: the family row and the officers/directors row both use the DEF 14A's own combined-basis share counts on the same single common-stock class LVS actually has (LVS is single-class, unlike Ralph Lauren); no voting-power figures are mixed into the shares/pct_of_company fields. (3) Double counting: the family row uses the filing's own already-netted Section 13(d)(3) group total (386,728,789) rather than summing the four overlapping individually-stated table lines (which would have summed to 867,196,145, a physically impossible 134% of the company on its own, proving those four lines are not additive); the officers/directors aggregate is proxy-confirmed (footnote 19) to explicitly EXCLUDE Irwin Chafetz's family-trust shares, so there is no overlap between the two proxy-sourced rows; and no institutional manager family was double-counted (Vanguard is one summed family row from 7 successor 13F-HR filings, no parent add-on; Capital Group and T. Rowe Price Investment Management were checked and found to hold zero, contributing no phantom shares). The elevated total is a real, sourced feature of this company: LVS is a 'controlled company' under NYSE rules specifically because the Adelson family and Irwin Chafetz control more than 50% of the voting power (10-K risk factors, DEF 14A both confirm), and that alone is 59.71% of the CURRENT (Jul 2026) share count, before adding substantial institutional ownership held on top of that controlling block.
- The family row's 59.71% (computed against the CURRENT shares_outstanding of 647,701,184, dated 22 Jul 2026) is HIGHER than the 58.2% the DEF 14A itself states, because the proxy's 58.2% is computed against ITS OWN record-date share count (16 Mar 2026: 664,517,754 shares, i.e. 386,728,789 / 0.582). Recomputing 386,728,789 against that older, larger denominator returns exactly 58.20%, matching the filed figure precisely and confirming the share count itself is correct; the difference from 59.71% is purely a denominator-date effect from LVS's heavy buyback activity (10-Q: 28,094,695 shares repurchased for $1,542m in H1 2026 alone), not a data error.
- Manager families swept: Vanguard (all 7 successor entities per data/registers/LVS.json's entity list, each entity's own fresh Q2 2026 13F-HR read directly; parent 13F-NT status not independently re-verified this run). Capital Group: all three of Capital World Investors (CIK 0001422849), Capital International Investors (CIK 0001562230) and Capital Research Global Investors (CIK 0001422848) checked in their own Q2 2026 13F-HR information tables and found to hold NOTHING in Las Vegas Sands (no match for 'LAS VEGAS SANDS' or CUSIP 517834107 in any of the three). The chunk prompt notes Capital Group can run to six or more registrants (per the TransDigm precedent); the additional Capital International-branded registrants beyond these three core three were not individually checked in this run (time-boxed) and are listed under unknowns. T. Rowe Price: BOTH registrants checked, Associates (CIK 0000080255, holds 11,184,424 sh, values-in-thousands applied) and Investment Management, Inc. (CIK 0001897612, holds nothing).
- Market cap methodology: 647,701,184 shares (10-Q cover page, 'Outstanding at July 22, 2026') x $46.53 (stockanalysis.com intraday quote, 19 Aug 2026, 3:56pm EDT) = $30,137,536,092. The share count and price dates do not exactly match (22 Jul vs 19 Aug) because no single source carries both on the same day; the gap is small relative to LVS's ongoing but incremental buyback pace.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Sands China Ltd's own total shares in issue (used as the denominator for pct_of_target's implied share/value figures) could not be sourced from a primary SCL/HKEX filing: SCL deregistered from SEC reporting in March 2023 (Form 15F-15D) and this tooling has no HKEX filing reader; direct fetches of SCL's own investor-relations PDFs (dividend announcements, interim report) timed out repeatedly. The figure used (8,093,379,566, dated to SCL's 31 Dec 2025 financials) comes from Stockopedia, an aggregator, cross-checked against a second aggregator (stockanalysis.com, 8.09bn rounded) and a market-cap/price back-calculation (116.95bn HKD / 14.45 HKD implies 8,093,425,606), all mutually consistent to within a few thousand shares. Because of this, the `shares` and `value_usd` fields on the Sands China holding are MODELLED, not filed, even though the underlying 74.80% ownership percentage itself is filed and precise.
- Additional Capital Group registrants beyond the three core CIKs (0001422849, 0001562230, 0001422848), which the chunk prompt notes can number six or more for some issuers, were not individually checked for Las Vegas Sands in this run.
- The Vanguard family's parent CIK 0000102909 was not independently re-checked for a 13F-NT filing this quarter; the 7-entity successor sweep (matching the entity list in data/registers/LVS.json) was summed per project convention regardless, consistent with how the same family was swept for Ralph Lauren.
- No independent 13D/13G sweep was run beyond the DEF 14A's own footnoted citations and the fresh Q2 2026 13F-HR filings for the 10 institutional names checked here. The last SC 13D/A filed against LVS (naming Adelson-related filers) was dated 5 Dec 2023, over 2.5 years before this research date; the 2026 DEF 14A's own beneficial-ownership table (16 Mar 2026) was used instead as the freshest available primary source for the family position, per the brief's preference for the fresher filing. data/registers/LVS.json lists many further institutional names as of 31 Mar 2026 (Amundi, Northern Trust, Jacobs Levy, Millennium, Qube, Victory Capital, WorldQuant, Charles Schwab, Legal & General, UBS AM, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Canada, UBS Group, Jane Street, Voloridge, Fort Washington, SG Americas, Ameriprise, Renaissance Technologies, Canada Pension Plan, UniSuper, Bank of America, Point72, and others) that were not individually refreshed for Q2 2026 here; all are smaller than the smallest row recorded (AQR, 0.90%) as of the Mar 2026 snapshot, so are presumed to remain outside the top 12, but this was not re-verified for every name.
- value_usd is null on both the family control-group row and the officers/directors aggregate row: the DEF 14A reports only share counts and percentages for these two rows, not dollar values, and no market price as of the 16 Mar 2026 record date was independently sourced in this task.
