The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 1,703 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
1,703 managers reported a position, together holding 164.5m shares, or 88.3% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 186.3m shares outstanding at 24 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Aerojet Rocketdyne is excluded from holdings. L3Harris's FY2025 10-K (Note: Acquisitions and Divestitures) and Q2 2026 10-Q (Note B: Strategic Investment in Subsidiary) confirm Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, Inc. ('AR') is a wholly owned subsidiary, acquired outright in 2023 and operated as the Missile Solutions segment, with acquisition goodwill of $4,938 million recognized on the FY2025 balance sheet. It is a consolidated operating subsidiary, not a minority equity stake, per the brief's exclusion. Searched terms 'Aerojet Rocketdyne' and 'AJRD' in both filings; the only related item found was Note B, described next.
- DoW strategic investment is not an L3Harris holding in another company; it runs the other direction. On 13 Jan 2026 L3Harris announced, and on 17 Apr 2026 closed, an agreement under which the Department of War (DoW) makes a strategic investment INTO L3Harris's wholly owned AR subsidiary (preferred stock, embedded derivative instruments and warrants), in connection with the Missile Solutions business. This dilutes L3Harris's future economics in AR under certain milestones but does not constitute L3Harris acquiring an equity stake in any other entity, so it is not recorded as a holding. Source: Q2 2026 10-Q, Note B: Strategic Investment in Subsidiary.
- A pending, not-yet-recorded minority stake: Space Technology disposal group / AE Industrial Partners. Per the Q2 2026 10-Q (Note P: Divestitures), L3Harris agreed in Q4 2025 to contribute its Space Propulsion and Power Systems (SPPS) and Space Avionics & Communications (SA&C) businesses to a new, privately held space technology company being formed with AE Industrial Partners, which will hold a controlling ~60% interest; L3Harris will retain approximately 40% noncontrolling interest, implying an equity method investment upon closing. Net enterprise value cited is $825 million. As of the 10-Q (filed 30 Jul 2026, period ended 3 Jul 2026), the transaction had not closed ('expected to close early in the second half of 2026') and the related assets/liabilities were still held for sale, not yet derecognized. Checked L3Harris's EDGAR filing history through 17 Aug 2026 (three 8-Ks since 1 Jun 2026, dated 24 Jul, 29 Jul and 17 Aug 2026) for a closing announcement; none mentions Space Technology, AE Industrial, or a noncontrolling interest. Because the equity method investment does not yet exist on L3Harris's books as of any filing read in this research, it is NOT recorded as a holding; it will need to be added once a closing 8-K or the Q3 2026 10-Q is filed.
- Combined equity-investment balances that are NOT broken into named holdings. The Q2 2026 10-Q states investments (excluded from 'unnamed' when small) consisting of 'equity method investments' of $132 million and 'equity interest investments' of $127 million as of 3 Jul 2026 (versus $88 million and $82 million respectively at FY2025 year end, per the FY2025 10-K), both included in 'Other non-current assets.' Neither filing names any individual investee company within either balance; both are described only as investments 'to advance our strategic business objectives, including advancing capabilities, market access, and technology development.' Per the brief's rule that a combined equity-method balance sizes none of the individual investees, no holding row is recorded for either balance. Search terms used across both filings: 'equity method', 'unconsolidated', 'joint venture', 'equity investments', 'affiliates', 'Aerojet Rocketdyne', 'AJRD', 'Tata', 'strategic investment', 'minority interest'. 'unconsolidated', 'joint venture' (10-Q) and 'minority interest', 'affiliates' (10-Q) returned no hits; the FY2025 10-K did return one 'joint venture' hit (a generic forward-looking-risk-factor sentence, not a disclosed JV) and four 'affiliates' hits (none naming an investee). 'Tata' returned no hits in either filing.
- Holdings is therefore an empty array. This is a sourced finding, not a gap: L3Harris's own filings disclose only wholly owned subsidiaries (Aerojet Rocketdyne), one investment coming in the opposite direction (DoW into AR), a not-yet-closed retained noncontrolling interest (Space Technology disposal group), and combined, unnamed equity method/equity interest balances, none of which meets the brief's bar for a sized, named minority holding in another company.
- Register reconciliation on Vanguard, BlackRock and the Capital Group family. L3Harris's 2026 proxy (based on Schedule 13G/A reviews, record date 13 Mar 2026) reports The Vanguard Group at 22,879,768 shares (12.2%, per a 13G/A as of 30 Sep 2024), BlackRock, Inc. at 13,578,793 shares (7.2%), and Capital World Investors at 11,289,362 shares (6.0%), the only three holders it identifies as beneficially owning more than 5%. The register instead uses each manager's Q2 2026 Form 13F-HR (30 June 2026 position dates): Vanguard's successor entities sum to 21,767,613 shares (close to the proxy's stale 13G figure) and BlackRock is materially higher at 19,015,816 shares (the 13G date predates a position increase). Capital Group reports through several independent entities and the proxy names Capital World Investors (CIK 0001422849), which is not the same entity as Capital Research Global Investors (CIK 0001422848). Both were read for the quarter: Capital World Investors 6,608,133 shares and Capital Research Global Investors 250,759, summed into the single Capital Group row of 6,858,892 shares (3.683%). Capital International Investors (CIK 0001562230) was checked and holds none. The proxy's 11,289,362 figure for Capital World Investors comes from a 13G/A predating 13 March 2026 and is higher than its own 30 June 2026 13F-HR, consistent with a position reduced in between; both are recorded rather than one replacing the other. Correction, 17 August 2026: this note previously ended by saying no Capital Group row was included, which was true when written and is no longer true.
- Norges Bank (CIK 0001374170) filed a 13F-HR for Q2 2026 (accession 0001374170-26-000069) but it contains no row matching 'L3HAR' or 'HARRIS' by any spelling tried; Norges Bank is not recorded as an L3Harris holder for this quarter.
- L3Harris has a single class of common stock and no dual-class or founder-control structure. Insider ownership is immaterial: the proxy marks beneficial ownership by Kubasik individually, and by the 20-person group of directors and executive officers, as each less than 1% of outstanding common stock.
- Market cap ($52.14bn) and share price ($279.98) are stockanalysis.com intraday figures as of 17 Aug 2026, 12:09pm ET (basis: aggregator, confidence: reported). Cross-check: 186,214,616 shares x $279.98 implies approximately $52.13bn, consistent with the reported market cap.
- Self-gate check: summing the 13 non-aggregate, non-member register rows gives 82,559,705 shares against 186,214,616 shares outstanding, or 44.34%, within the expected range. Correction, 17 August 2026: this line first read 12 rows and 75,700,813 shares (40.65%), computed before the Capital Group row below was added. The Capital Group entity was originally left out because its CIK could not be matched inside the research budget, which was the right call at the time (a guessed holder is worse than a missing one) and is now resolved from the filings themselves.
- Capital Group, 13F against the proxy's 13G. L3Harris's 2026 proxy reports Capital World Investors at 11,289,362 shares (6.0%) from a Schedule 13G/A predating 13 March 2026. This register instead uses the Q2 2026 Form 13F-HR filings themselves, which put Capital World Investors at 6,608,133 shares and the family at 6,858,892 (3.683%) as of 30 June 2026. Both figures are recorded rather than one overwriting the other: the difference is consistent with Capital Group reducing the position between the 13G/A date and 30 June 2026, and the 13F is the more recent measurement.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- RESOLVED 17 August 2026, kept for the record: the Capital Group entity the 2026 proxy cites at 11,289,362 shares is Capital World Investors, CIK 0001422849. Its own Q2 2026 13F-HR reports 6,608,133 L3Harris shares, and it now appears in the register inside the summed Capital Group row. The open part is only why the two differ, addressed in notes as a dating difference rather than a contradiction.
- Whether Vanguard-affiliated 13F filers other than Vanguard Capital Management LLC and Vanguard Portfolio Management LLC (for example Vanguard Advisers Inc, Vanguard Fiduciary Trust Co, or Vanguard Global Advisers) also hold L3Harris shares for Q2 2026. Not checked individually within the time budget; if they do, the true Vanguard aggregate is somewhat higher than the 21,767,613 shares used here.
- Named investees, if any, within the $132 million equity method and $127 million equity interest investment balances disclosed in the Q2 2026 10-Q (and $88 million / $82 million respectively in the FY2025 10-K). Neither filing names an individual investee company; searched 'equity method', 'equity interest', 'affiliates', 'joint venture', 'unconsolidated', 'strategic investment' in both filings.
- Whether the Space Technology disposal group transaction with AE Industrial Partners (retained ~40% noncontrolling interest, net enterprise value $825 million) has closed since the Q2 2026 10-Q was filed (30 Jul 2026, period ended 3 Jul 2026). Checked EDGAR's filing list for CIK 0000202058 through 17 Aug 2026; no 8-K since then discloses a closing. If closed, this would become a genuine, sizeable minority holding in a private company and should be added.
- Whether any Schedule 13D or fresh 13G has been filed on L3Harris common stock since the Vanguard 13G/A (as of 30 Sep 2024, filed Nov 2024) and BlackRock/Capital World Investors 13G filings referenced in the 2026 proxy. Not independently re-checked against EDGAR's full-text search within the time budget; the register leans on Q2 2026 13F-HR data plus the proxy's own summary of prior 13G/A filings.
- L3Harris's own Q2 2026 Form 13F (as an institutional manager reporting client assets, e.g. through any asset-management arm) was not checked; per the brief's exclusion of client-held, index-style positions, this would not affect the holdings list even if it exists.
