Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Joby Aviation, Inc.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. Description
Joby Aviation, Inc. is a Santa Cruz, California company that has spent more than a decade developing a piloted, all-electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxi it intends to operate in cities around the world. The aircraft is designed to carry a pilot and up to four passengers, or a payload of up to 1,000 pounds, at speeds of up to 200 mph over a target range of 100 miles per charge. Joby signed a stage 4 G-1 certification basis with the FAA in July 2022, received a Part 135 air carrier certificate in 2022, and reports that it has completed or substantially completed three of the five FAA type certification stages and is more than halfway through the fourth, while targeting its first passengers in 2026. Buying Blade Urban Air Mobility in August 2025 for roughly $92.4 million lifted 2025 revenue to $53.4 million from $0.1 million in 2024, but the 2025 net loss was $929.8 million on operating expenses of $773.0 million and accumulated deficit reached $2,785.6 million. Delta Air Lines, whose October 2022 collaboration agreement covers a premium airport service sold through Delta's booking platform, invested $60 million and exercised 7,000,000 warrants at $10 a share in January 2026.
Who owns Joby Aviation, Inc..
Nothing recorded on this side. That is a sourced finding rather than a gap where the research notes say so: see the notes below.
Select a row or a slice for its provenance: the filing it came from, when it was measured, and the arithmetic behind it if it was modelled.
The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 515 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
515 managers reported a position, together holding 539.0m shares, or 54.8% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 983.6m shares outstanding at 4 May 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Added 26 Aug 2026 by scripts/promote_discovered.py. This company reached the site because a covered investor holds it, not because an index listed it: it was a position in a portfolio here with no page of its own. The match was proved by requiring the register built for this CIK to contain the same CUSIP the portfolio held.
- Discovered at CUSIP G65163100, held by allstate, ameriprise, bank-of-america, blackrock, bny-mellon, citigroup, delta-air-lines, fidelity-fmr, fifth-third, franklin-resources, geode, goldman-sachs, huntington-bancshares, invesco, jpmorgan, metlife, morgan-stanley, mt-bank, northern-trust, pnc, prudential-financial, raymond-james, state-street, us-bancorp, vanguard, wells-fargo.
- Holdings are NOT researched. The empty holdings list means nobody has looked at what this company owns, not that it owns nothing, and the page says so.
- Shares outstanding and market cap are null rather than guessed. Neither was captured on the dated sweep that carries every other company here.
