Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Hyliion Holdings Corp.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The headcount is the figure the sources below state for 2025. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Hyliion Holdings Corp. Form 10-K for fiscal year 2025, Hyliion Holdings Corp. Form 10-Q for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 and Hyliion Holdings Corp. Description
Hyliion Holdings Corp. designs and develops power generators and provides R&D services from Cedar Park, Texas, with research facilities in Cincinnati, Ohio. It no longer builds the electrified truck powertrains it was founded on: the board approved a wind down of the powertrain business in November 2023, and most of that work finished in the fourth quarter of 2025. The business now rests on the KARNO Power Module, a modular, fuel-agnostic generator whose KARNO Core heats helium by flameless oxidation to drive a linear generator with a single moving part per shaft. The technology came out of General Electric research and was acquired from GE Aviation in 2022, and every additive printing machine Hyliion uses is bought from Colibrium Additive (formerly GE Additive). The first product is a 200 kW module, with an 800 kW system and multi-megawatt units aimed at data centers, defense and industrial sites. All revenue so far is R&D services for the US government: $3.5 million in 2025 against a $57.2 million net loss, and $7.8 million in the first half of 2026 against a $25.7 million net loss. The Office of Naval Research awarded a contract worth about $42 million in July 2026 for megawatt scale units, running to July 2029. At 30 June 2026 Hyliion held $13.2 million of cash and $119.2 million of short and longer-term investments, and it employed about 113 people at 31 December 2025.
Who owns Hyliion Holdings Corp..
Nothing recorded on this side. That is a sourced finding rather than a gap where the research notes say so: see the notes below.
Select a row or a slice for its provenance: the filing it came from, when it was measured, and the arithmetic behind it if it was modelled.
The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 137 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
137 managers reported a position, together holding 49.8m shares, or 27.9% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 178.3m shares outstanding at 7 May 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Added 26 Aug 2026 by scripts/promote_discovered.py. This company reached the site because a covered investor holds it, not because an index listed it: it was a position in a portfolio here with no page of its own. The match was proved by requiring the register built for this CIK to contain the same CUSIP the portfolio held.
- Discovered at CUSIP 449109107, held by bank-of-america, blackrock, bny-mellon, citigroup, fidelity-fmr, franklin-resources, ge-aerospace, geode, goldman-sachs, invesco, jpmorgan, metlife, morgan-stanley, northern-trust, pnc, prudential-financial, raymond-james, state-street, us-bancorp, vanguard, wells-fargo.
- Holdings are NOT researched. The empty holdings list means nobody has looked at what this company owns, not that it owns nothing, and the page says so.
- Shares outstanding and market cap are null rather than guessed. Neither was captured on the dated sweep that carries every other company here.
