Description

Global Business Travel Group, Inc. trades as American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) and sells corporate travel, expense and meetings services from a London headquarters. It runs a marketplace connecting business clients to travel content from over 700 airlines, 160 rail providers and 1.3 million hotel properties, and layers on travel and expense software (Egencia, Neo, Select and a product co-developed with SAP Concur), consulting and meetings and events work. It reports one operating segment. In 2025 it processed roughly $36.3 billion of total transaction value and booked revenue of $2,718 million: Travel Revenue of $2,154 million, or 79%, from client transaction fees and supplier fees, and Products and Professional Services Revenue of $564 million, or 21%. Net income was $111 million. It bought CWT in September 2025. American Express holds a minority interest and licenses its trademarks to the company, which operates separately. On 2 May 2026 the company agreed to be acquired by Long Lake Management for $9.50 per share in cash, and shareholders approved the merger on 3 August 2026. It had over 27,000 employees worldwide at 31 December 2025.

Who owns Global Business Travel Group, Inc..

Nothing recorded on this side. That is a sourced finding rather than a gap where the research notes say so: see the notes below.

Select a row or a slice for its provenance: the filing it came from, when it was measured, and the arithmetic behind it if it was modelled.

The full register, from 13F filings

The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 162 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.

162 managers reported a position, together holding 332.0m shares, or 63.7% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 521.5m shares outstanding at 7 May 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.

Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
