Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Generac Holdings Inc.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The website comes from Wikidata. The headcount is the figure the Wikipedia article states for 2024, not a figure this site has verified against a filing. The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 856 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
856 managers reported a position, together holding 53.9m shares, or 91.6% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 58.9m shares outstanding at 1 May 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Holdings side: searched the FY2025 10-K (filed 2026-02-18) and the Q2 2026 10-Q (filed 2026-08-04, period 2026-06-30) for 'equity method', 'unconsolidated', 'joint venture', 'non-marketable', 'minority interest', 'variable interest entity', 'equity securities', and 'strategic investment'. 'equity method', 'unconsolidated' and 'variable interest entity' returned zero hits in both filings, i.e. Generac does not appear to use the equity method for any investee and discloses no VIEs.
- Exhibit 21.1 to the FY2025 10-K (LISTING OF SUBSIDIARIES OF GENERAC HOLDINGS INC.) is a plain two-column list (subsidiary name, jurisdiction of incorporation) with no ownership-percentage column, matching the Labcorp/Darden pattern described as a genuine negative rather than evidence of looking in the wrong place. It does list both 'Generac Juffali Generators WLL' and 'PR Middle East WLL' as Bahrain subsidiaries, consistent with the 51%-consolidated JV found in Note 4.
- PR Industrial S.r.l. (Pramac) and Captiva Energy Solutions were both partly owned via redeemable noncontrolling interests at various points (Pramac 65% from Mar 2016, 80% from May 2021, 100% from Mar 2023; Captiva 66% from Feb 2019, 100% from Apr 2024) but are now WHOLLY OWNED and are not holdings under this brief; they are acquisitions, not investments.
- EXIT, no row: Generac sold its minority interest in Rolling Energy Resources during FY2025 for $2.0 million of cash proceeds (FY2025 10-K, MD&A cash-flow discussion). No share count, ownership percentage, or acquisition date was ever disclosed for this stake in any filing found; it is recorded here as an exit only, per the brief's rule that an exited stake is a note with no row.
- COMBINED BALANCE, no row: the FY2025 10-K MD&A mentions a $2.8 million 'minority investment in Earth Foundry Fund' and a $1.6 million 'tax equity investment', both made in FY2024, and a further $3.0 million of 'purchase of long-term investments' in FY2025 with no named investee. None of these figures recur with a percentage, valuation, or investee-level detail in either the FY2025 10-K or the Q2 2026 10-Q, so none is sized as a holding; the balances are recorded here and in unknowns rather than assigned to any target.
- Wallbox N.V.'s equity securities balance ($7,276,000 as of 2026-06-30, Level 1) and the Wallbox stock warrants (Level 3, unsized in text located) are reported together as 'Wallbox warrants and equity securities' in several MD&A passages; only the equity securities figure could be isolated to a specific dollar balance, which is what is used as value_usd on the Wallbox holdings row.
- Register self-gate, computed from this final file exactly as the chart computes it (see docs/research-chunk-prompt.md formula): 13 rows, raw share total after reducing the aggregate row by its one rolled-up member (Aaron Jagdfeld, 965,060 shares) to a residual of 476,379 = 21,417,995 shares against 59,006,361 shares outstanding = 36.30%. Within the expected 25-45% band.
- The proxy's own 'Principal stockholders' table (as of 2026-04-16) lists only BlackRock, Inc. as a 5%-or-greater owner, at 3,652,509 shares / 6.2%, sourced to a Schedule 13G/A filed 2024-01-29, i.e. over two years stale. Vanguard is not listed at all in the proxy's 5%-owner table, consistent with the pattern seen elsewhere in this project where Vanguard's post-reorganization successor entities each individually fall under the 5% Schedule 13G threshold even though the family total is well above it. Per the chunk-prompt guidance to prefer the fresh Q2 13F over a stale proxy-quoted 13G, this file uses the BlackRock and Vanguard figures from each entity's own Q2 2026 (period 2026-06-30) 13F-HR rather than the proxy's 2024 13G figure; the stale figure is preserved here for reconciliation only.
- Vanguard Group Inc (parent CIK 0000102909) filed Form 13F-NT (a notice carrying no holdings) for the quarter ended 2026-06-30, confirming the family's position is reported entirely through its successor entities. Seven successor entities were identified from this project's own Q1 2026 GNRC register snapshot (data/registers/GNRC.json) and swept individually for fresh Q2 2026 numbers: Vanguard Fiduciary Trust Co (CIK 933478), Vanguard Investments Australia (1550100), Vanguard Asset Management Ltd (1680208), Vanguard Personalized Indexing Management (1767306), Vanguard Global Advisers (1811242), Vanguard Capital Management LLC (2100119), Vanguard Portfolio Management LLC (2100121). All seven held and were summed; do not add any other Vanguard-named entity to this row.
- Capital Group family: checked all three primary registrants (Capital World Investors CIK 1422849, Capital International Investors CIK 1562230, Capital Research Global Investors CIK 1422848) via their own Q2 2026 13F-HR. Capital World Investors and Capital International Investors held GNRC; Capital Research Global Investors was checked and returned no matching row (holds nothing), so it is not summed in and is not given its own null row.
- T. Rowe Price: T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. (CIK 0000080255) held 82,479 shares. T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc. (CIK 0001897612), the separate registrant, was checked via its own Q2 2026 13F-HR and returned no matching GNRC row, i.e. holds nothing; no row is given for it.
- T. Rowe Price Associates files 13F values in THOUSANDS: its raw infoTable value for GNRC was $24,151 against 82,479 shares (an implied $0.29/share), which is obviously wrong; multiplying by 1,000 gives $24,151,000, implying $292.80/share, which matches the per-share value implied by every other Q2 2026 13F row in this register (Vanguard, BlackRock, Invesco, State Street, Geode, Boston Partners, Ariel, D. E. Shaw, Capital Group, FMR all cluster at $292.4-292.8/share for the same 2026-06-30 quarter-end). value_usd above has been corrected to the thousands-adjusted figure.
- Aaron Jagdfeld (Chairman, President and CEO, and Generac's sole management director) is one of the 14 persons in the proxy's 'All directors and executive officers as a group' line and rolls up into it. Generac was founded by Robert Kern in 1959; no current Kern-family or founder-family holding was found in the DEF 14A or in the 13F register, so there is no separate founder row beyond the CEO/insider position.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Wallbox N.V.'s current percentage of class for Generac's 38,096,057-share stake: the only filed percentage (17.8%, and that on a larger beneficial-ownership base including shared-voting-only shares) is from the August 2024 Schedule 13D; Wallbox has raised additional capital in several rounds since (Q3 2024, Q1/Q2/Q4 2025 per the anti-dilution warrant language in the 10-Q) that would dilute this, and no current Wallbox share count outstanding was located to recompute it.
- Fair value balance of the Wallbox stock warrants (Level 3) as of either 2025-12-31 or 2026-06-30: only the annual P&L impact was found ($5,839 thousand loss in FY2025, $7,327 thousand loss in FY2024 attributable to the warrants), not a period-end fair value balance, despite searching 'Level 3', 'fair value of the Wallbox stock warrants', and 'warrants was $' in both the 10-K and 10-Q.
- Earth Foundry Fund: a $2.8 million 'minority investment' made in FY2024 per the 10-K MD&A cash-flow discussion, with no further detail (no ownership percentage, no valuation, no mention in the Q2 2026 10-Q) found anywhere else in either filing.
- Tax equity investment(s): contributions of $1.6 million (FY2024) and $6.6 million (FY2023) appear in the cash-flow statement with no named counterparty or partnership disclosed in the text searched.
- $3.0 million of 'purchase of long-term investments' in FY2025 (10-K cash-flow statement): no named investee.
- No SEC full-text search or browse-edgar listing found any Schedule 13D/A or 13G updating Generac's Wallbox position after the August 2024 13D.
