Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Fair Isaac Corporation's own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The website was checked for this site against the company's own pages. The headcount is the figure the sources below state for 2025. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Fair Isaac Corporation 10-K for the fiscal year ended 30 September 2025, SEC XBRL company concept: Fair Isaac Revenues and Wikipedia: FICO, not taken from any single article.

Description
Fair Isaac Corporation, founded in 1956 and known as FICO, sells credit scores and decision management software and reports in two segments. The Scores segment produces the FICO Score, the three digit measure of consumer credit risk used in most US credit decisions: FICO's algorithms run against credit data held by Experian, TransUnion and Equifax, users pay those consumer reporting agencies for each score generated and the agencies pay a fee back to FICO, with a smaller direct to consumer business selling scores and subscriptions through myFICO.com. The Software segment sells FICO Platform along with applications for account origination, customer management, fraud detection and marketing, delivered as software as a service or installed on customer premises, plus the related professional services. Revenue for the year to 30 September 2025 was $1.99 billion, of which Scores contributed $1.17 billion (59%) and Software $822 million (41%). The company employed 3,811 people across 28 countries at that date.

The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 837 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
837 managers reported a position, together holding 21.3m shares, or 91.8% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 23.2m shares outstanding at 16 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Fiscal year ends 30 September. The newest document by date is the Q3 FY2026 10-Q (period 2026-06-30, filed 2026-07-29), which postdates the FY2025 10-K (period 2025-09-30, filed 2025-11-07). shares_outstanding (21,597,635) is taken from that 10-Q's cover page, dated 17 Jul 2026 ('The number of shares of common stock outstanding on July 17, 2026 was 21,597,635, excluding 67,259,148 shares held by us as treasury stock'). The 10-Q balance sheet also shows 21,597 thousand shares outstanding at 30 Jun 2026 vs 23,764 thousand at 30 Sep 2025 (FY2025 10-K date), consistent with continued buybacks; the earlier FY2025 10-K cover page itself showed 23,709,047 shares outstanding as of 23 Oct 2025. The 21.6 million figure used here is materially below the brief's 'roughly 24 million' guidance because Fair Isaac's buybacks have continued into FY2026.
- Implied-price check run on every 13F row in the register, per the brief's instruction for this small-float, high-price company: dividing each filer's reported dollar value by its reported share count gives $1194.6 to $1195.0 per share for 11 of the 12 institutional rows (Capital Group's five entities, Vanguard's seven entities, BlackRock, State Street, Geode, Valley Forge, Morgan Stanley, Edgewood, Goldman Sachs), all consistent with a 30 Jun 2026 FICO closing price in that range. Two exceptions found and handled: (1) T. Rowe Price Associates' information table reports its VALUE column in THOUSANDS, a defect documented repeatedly on this filer elsewhere in this project; corrected here by multiplying the raw value by 1,000, after which its implied price also falls in the $1194.6-$1195.0 range, confirming the correction and that its share count was not itself in thousands. (2) JPMorgan Chase implies $1177.5-$1179.3/share, about 1.4% below the pack; this is internally consistent across all 15 of its own lines (not an order-of-magnitude error) and was kept as filed rather than adjusted.
- Holdings side is genuinely empty. Searched the FY2025 10-K (SEC accession 0000814547-25-000030, period 2025-09-30) and the newest 10-Q (accession 0000814547-26-000030, period 2026-06-30) for 'equity method', 'joint venture', 'unconsolidated', 'non-marketable', 'minority interest', 'equity securities', 'strategic investment', 'investments in', and 'VantageScore'. No equity-method investees, unconsolidated joint ventures, or non-marketable equity securities are disclosed in either filing. The only 'Investments' accounting policy note found (10-K) describes FICO's own trading/available-for-sale/held-to-maturity investment portfolio, i.e. its treasury/marketable-securities book, which the brief explicitly excludes as not a holding. VantageScore appears only as a joint venture OWNED BY Experian, TransUnion and Equifax (the three major consumer reporting agencies), described in the 10-K as a competitor to FICO's own scoring products, not an entity FICO holds equity in. FICO's relationships with Equifax, Experian and TransUnion (referenced throughout the 10-K as 'partners in offering our scoring solutions') are commercial licensing arrangements that generate FICO's own revenue, not equity stakes; recorded here explicitly per the brief because this is exactly the kind of relationship a reader could mistake for a holding. Also checked Exhibit 21.1 of the FY2025 10-K (list of subsidiaries): a bare name/jurisdiction list of roughly 50 wholly-owned, 'Fair Isaac'-branded subsidiaries with no ownership-percentage column and no joint ventures, confirming a genuine negative rather than an unexplored corner.
- Register: 14 rows, computed self-gate (chart arithmetic: full value for every non-aggregate row and every member row, the aggregate officers/directors group reduced by its one named member) totals 12,918,908 shares, 59.82% of the 21,597,635 shares outstanding (12,199,626 shares / 56.49% from the 12 institutional 13F rows, plus 420,431 shares for CEO William Lansing, plus 298,851 residual shares for the officers/directors group after subtracting Lansing's 420,431 from its filed 719,282). This is above the brief's usual 25-45% band and even above the 55% outer bound, but the brief explicitly anticipated this for Fair Isaac given its roughly 21.6 million share float and heavy concentration among a small number of very large institutional and active holders (Capital Group and Vanguard alone are a combined 28.9%); the implied-price cross-check above found no units or denominator error across the institutional rows, and the two insider rows are correctly overlap-marked (is_aggregate/rolls_up_into) so Lansing's stake is not counted twice. Corroborated first-hand by the coordinator against this project's own 13F-derived register (data/registers/FICO.json, period 31 Mar 2026, built by a separate pipeline from the bulk 13F data): its top TWELVE holders sum to 59.80% of the same denominator against the 59.82% recorded here, and its total institutional ownership is 17,185,717 shares, 79.57%. Two independent derivations landing within 0.02 percentage points of each other is about as strong as this check gets, so the level is real: it reflects a float of only 21.6 million shares with unusually concentrated index and active ownership, not a double count or a units error. The T. Rowe Price values-in-thousands correction described above is separately validated by the implied-price cluster at $1,194.6 to $1,195.0 per share, which the corrected row rejoins.
- The officers/directors group total (719,282 shares, 3.02%) and William Lansing's individual figure (420,431 shares, 1.77%) are both from the DEF 14A filed 27 Jan 2026, with ownership measured as of 28 Nov 2025, a different (older, and differently denominated) as-of date than the 13F rows; this is stated explicitly in each row's pct_denominator rather than blended into the 13F dataset.

- T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc. (CIK 0001897612), a separate registrant from T. Rowe Price Associates, was checked in its own Q2 2026 13F-HR information table (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1897612/000189761226000578/infotable.xml) and holds no position in Fair Isaac Corporation as of 30 Jun 2026; not included as a register row per the brief (a holder confirmed at zero is a note, not a null row).
- The register is capped at the top 8-12 institutional holders per the brief plus the CEO/officers-group insider positions; smaller holders visible in the project's own 31 Mar 2026 FICO.json snapshot (Northern Trust, D.E. Shaw, Principal Financial Group, Kensico Capital, Akre Capital, UBS AM, Primecap, American Century, Lindsell Train, Invesco, Charles Schwab Investment Management, Heard Capital, Arrowstreet Capital, Legal & General, Bowie Capital, Bank of America, AllianceBernstein, Bank of New York Mellon, AKO Capital, AF Advisors, Barclays, Van Eck, Deutsche Bank, ClearBridge, Dimensional Fund Advisors, AustralianSuper, Nuveen, No Street GP) were not individually re-verified against fresh Q2 2026 13F data and are not included as rows here.
- FICO was founded in 1956 by Bill Fair and Earl Isaac; neither appears as a current beneficial owner in the 27 Jan 2026 DEF 14A, and no founder-family or dual-class ownership structure was found; FICO has a single class of common stock.
