The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 783 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
783 managers reported a position, together holding 35.9m shares, or 107.9% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 33.3m shares outstanding at 20 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
This adds up to more than the whole company, and that is what the filings say. A 13F total can exceed 100% because the same share can be reported twice: when a holder lends stock, the borrower sells it to someone else, and both the lender's manager and the new buyer's manager report it. The gap tracks how heavily a stock is shorted. It is a property of 13F rather than a fault in this data, so it is shown as filed, and it cannot be used as evidence that a particular holder's stake is large.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Berkshire Hathaway does NOT hold Domino's Pizza as of the Q2 2026 13F-HR (period 30 Jun 2026, filed 14 Aug 2026, CIK 0001067983, combined report covering Berkshire and 14 affiliated managers, 89 line items, 25 distinct issuers): read directly with filing.py 13f against the information table XML (56757.xml), no row matches DOMIN/PIZZA/DPZ. The same is true of Berkshire's Q1 2026 13F-HR (period 31 Mar 2026, filed 15 May 2026, 53405.xml): no Domino's row. Berkshire's PRIOR 13F, Q4 2025 (period 31 Dec 2025, filed 17 Feb 2026, 50240.xml), DOES show a position: 3,350,000 shares, $1,396,347,000. That figure matches Domino's own 2026 DEF 14A 5%-owner table exactly: 'Warren E. Buffett/Berkshire Hathaway Inc., 3,350,000 shares, 9.96%, as of 31 Dec 2025'. So Berkshire held 3,350,000 DPZ shares at year end 2025 and had fully exited by 31 Mar 2026, sometime in Q1 2026. This directly contradicts the brief's premise that Berkshire 'has been adding' to a Domino's position through Q2 2026: the sourced record shows a full exit, not an addition. Because the current holding is zero, Berkshire is recorded here as a note, not a register row (a null/zero row would misrender as an unsized current holder). data/research/berkshire.json carries no Domino's Pizza holding at all, which is CONSISTENT with this finding since that file is also as-of Q2 2026, when Berkshire's position was already zero; it simply never had the 3,350,000-share Dec 2025 position or the exit history captured. No genuine disagreement between the two files, both agree Berkshire holds zero DPZ as of 30 Jun 2026.
- Capital Group checked and found to hold NOTHING in Domino's Pizza as of Q2 2026: all three registrants read directly (Capital World Investors CIK 0001422849, Capital International Investors CIK 0001562230, Capital Research Global Investors CIK 0001422848, each filed 13F-HR around 12-13 Aug 2026 for period 30 Jun 2026). Capital World Investors' filing has no DOMIN match at all; Capital International Investors likewise no match; Capital Research Global Investors matches only Dominion Energy and Old Dominion Freight Line, not Domino's Pizza. No row recorded; this is a genuine negative rather than an omission.
- Holdings side: searched Domino's own most recent 10-Q (period 14 Jun 2026, filed 20 Jul 2026) and most recent 10-K (fiscal year ended 28 Dec 2025, filed 23 Feb 2026, including Exhibit 21.1 subsidiaries list) for 'equity method', 'equity investment', 'joint venture', 'unconsolidated', 'non-marketable equity', 'Enterprises Limited'. All zero hits except one incidental 'equity method' reference in the 10-K's parent-company condensed financial statements describing how Domino's Pizza, Inc. itself accounts for its own wholly owned subsidiaries, not an investment in another company. Exhibit 21.1 is a bare name list of Domino's own wholly owned entities (Domino's Inc, Domino's Pizza LLC, Domino's Pizza International LLC, Domino's Pizza NS Co, Domino's Pizza Master Issuer LLC and others), no ownership-percentage column and no mention of Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited (ASX: DMP), the separately listed Australian master franchisee. Conclusion: Domino's Pizza, Inc. holds no equity stake in Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited or in any other listed or private company; holdings is legitimately empty.
- Self-gate computed from this final file: 9 register rows, 19,406,970 total shares (Vanguard family + Fidelity + Soroban + BlackRock + Invesco + T. Rowe family + State Street + Geode + the directors/officers aggregate, no row rolls up into another so every row counts at full value), against shares_outstanding 33,081,735 = 58.66% of the company. This is above the 25-45% typical band and above the 55% flag threshold in the brief. It was checked for the three usual causes (mixed instrument, mixed basis, double counting) and none was found: every institutional row is the same CUSIP 25754A201 common stock read directly from each holder's own Q2 2026 13F-HR, all priced within a tight band (~$296-301/share, consistent with the info-table dollar values), and no holder appears twice (Vanguard is one family row, T. Rowe Price is one family row, Capital Group and Berkshire are notes not rows). The elevated concentration appears to be a real feature of this stock: Domino's has a small and shrinking float (33,081,735 shares outstanding at 13 Jul 2026, down from a ~34.4 million diluted weighted average a year earlier per this 10-Q's EPS table) driven by aggressive buybacks (234,616 thousand USD of common stock repurchased in the 24 weeks ended 14 Jun 2026 per the 10-Q cash flow statement), which mechanically raises institutional ownership percentages each quarter even without net buying. Reported here rather than suppressed, per the brief's own guidance that a high reading is acceptable if every row is verified to be the same instrument and nothing is double counted.
- Vanguard case: parent CIK 0000102909 filed Form 13F-NT (notice, no holdings) for Q2 2026, filed 13 Aug 2026. All 7 successor entities named in data/registers/DPZ.json were fetched individually from their own Q2 2026 13F-HR filings and summed; this is the 'successors are the position' case, not the 'one parent row' case.
- Implied per-share price check: institutional 13F dollar values divide by their share counts to ~$296.05 across Vanguard's 7 entities, FMR, BlackRock, Invesco, State Street and both T. Rowe Price entities, all dated 30 Jun 2026, a tight independent cross-check that these are all the same instrument at the same date. Geode alone reads ~$301.2/share; flagged in its own method_note rather than silently averaged in.
- Current price used for market_cap_usd is a live intraday quote (Nasdaq API, $339.99, 19 Aug 2026 2:34pm ET) multiplied by the 13 Jul 2026 cover-page share count; the two dates do not match exactly (about five weeks apart) because no single filing carries both a current price and a current share count. This is disclosed rather than treated as precise.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- No 13D or 13G filed directly against Domino's Pizza stock was searched independently of the proxy's own 5%-owner table, so any strategic or sovereign holder that fell below 5% and outside the top 8-12 13F holders checked here would be missed.
- Named individual director and executive officer holdings (Weiner, Reddy, Jordan, Headen, Garcia, Brandon, Balson, Barry, Cafritz, Federico, Goldman, Kramer, Lopez) were read from the 2026 proxy but not itemized as separate register rows since all are below 1% individually; only the 18-person aggregate is recorded.
- Market cap is a computed figure (live price times the 13 Jul 2026 share count), not a figure read directly off one page that states market cap; see the note on the date mismatch.
