Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from Deckers Outdoor Corporation's own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 850 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
850 managers reported a position, together holding 132.4m shares, or 95.3% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 138.9m shares outstanding at 1 May 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Deckers effected a 6-for-1 forward stock split on 13 September 2024, trading post-split from 17 September 2024 (confirmed in the FY2025 10-K filed 2025-05-23: 'On September 13, 2024, we effected a six-for-one forward stock split of our common stock and preferred stock'). No further split has occurred since. Every share count in this file, company.shares_outstanding and every register row, is on the current post-split basis: all register figures come from Q2 2026 (period 2026-06-30) 13F-HR filings and a proxy dated 2026-07-24, both well after the split, so no restatement was needed.
- shares_outstanding = 136,414,227 as of the close of business on 9 July 2026, taken from the cover page of the 10-Q filed 2026-07-30 (period 2026-06-30): 'the number of outstanding shares of the registrant's common stock ... was 136,414,227.' Deckers' fiscal year ends 31 March; the FY2026 10-K (filed 2026-05-22, period 2026-03-31) is chronologically older than this 10-Q, so the 10-Q is the correctly-identified newest filing and its cover-page figure was used over the 10-K's (139,978 thousand shares issued and outstanding as of 2026-03-31 per the balance sheet, reflecting continued buybacks since).
- Holdings side is genuinely empty. Searched the FY2026 10-K (filed 2026-05-22, https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/910521/000162828026037664/deck-20260331.htm) and the Q1 FY2027 10-Q (filed 2026-07-30) for 'equity method', 'equity investment', 'joint venture', 'unconsolidated', 'non-marketable'/'nonmarketable', 'minority interest', 'cost method', 'strategic investment' and 'controlling interest': zero hits on every term in both filings. 'equity securities' only matched item headings (issuer repurchases of its own stock) and risk-factor boilerplate, not investee stakes. Exhibit 21.1 to the FY2026 10-K (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/910521/000162828026037664/deck3312026exhibit211.htm) lists exactly ONE subsidiary, Deckers Outdoor International Limited (Hong Kong), with no ownership-percentage column and no partly-owned entities, a genuine negative in the same shape as Labcorp's and Darden's Exhibit 21 in this project (bare name list, nothing to size). Deckers' international wholesale operations run through wholly owned subsidiaries and independent third-party distributors (commercial arrangements, not equity stakes, per the same distinction drawn for Williams-Sonoma's franchisees and Expeditors' agents elsewhere in this project).
- Self-gate, computed on the FINAL file exactly as the chart computes it (no rolls_up_into/is_aggregate rows present, so total is a straight sum): 9 register rows, 52,464,044 shares, 52,464,044 / 136,414,227 = 38.46% of shares outstanding. Within the expected 25-45% band.
- T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc. (CIK 0001897612) was checked via its own fresh Q2 2026 13F-HR (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1897612/000189761226000578/infotable.xml, 738 information-table rows) and holds NO Deckers position (no CUSIP 243537107 row, confirmed by direct grep of the raw XML). Recorded here rather than as a null row per this project's convention that a checked-and-zero holder is a note, not a row.
- The Capital Group family was swept in full: three notice-only (13F-NT, no holdings) registrants, Capital Group Companies, Inc. (0000732812), Capital Group International, Inc. (0000949308) and Capital Research & Management Co (0000017283); and six active (13F-HR) registrants, Capital International Investors (0001562230), Capital Research Global Investors (0001422848), Capital World Investors (0001422849), Capital International, Inc./CA (0000895213), Capital Group Investment Management Pte. Ltd. (0001939970) and Capital Group Private Client Services, Inc. (0001857666). Every one of the six active registrants' Q2 2026 information tables was checked for CUSIP 243537107 and none holds any Deckers position. Consistent with data/registers/DECK.json, which also carries no Capital Group entry.
- The DEF 14A (filed 2026-07-24) names only two 5% stockholders and both citations are stale or partial relative to the fresh Q2 2026 13F sweep used in this file: BlackRock, Inc. at 14,360,492 shares (10.5%), sourced 'solely' to Amendment No. 4 to Schedule 13G filed 2025-04-17 (over a year stale); versus this file's fresh BlackRock 13F-HR figure of 13,532,204 shares (9.92%) as of 2026-06-30, a decrease of about 828,000 shares. And 'Vanguard Capital Management' at 10,649,383 shares (7.8%), sourced to a Schedule 13G filed 2026-04-29; that single Vanguard entity's own fresh Q2 2026 13F-HR position is only 9,175,405 shares, while the full Vanguard family swept in this file (9 entities, parent 13F-NT) totals 16,593,759 shares (12.16%). The 13G figure likely reflects aggregate beneficially-owned shares reported under shared dispositive arrangements across affiliated Vanguard funds as of its own filing date, not that one entity's 13F position; per the chunk-prompt guidance this file uses the fresh, dated 13F family sweep rather than the proxy's 13G citation.
- Register row count: 9. Total shares represented: 52,464,044. Register total as a share of shares_outstanding: 38.46%.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Dollar value of the officer/director insider group's 549,704 shares: not disclosed in the DEF 14A ownership table, so value_usd is left null rather than modelled from an unrelated closing price quoted elsewhere in the proxy.
- Exact timestamp/price behind the market_cap_usd figure (12.19bn) sourced from stockanalysis.com's live overview page; the site does not expose an explicit as-of timestamp in the fetched markup, so market_cap_as_of records the date this file was researched (2026-08-19) rather than a verified intraday timestamp.
